As the 6th most populated counties in the greater United States, Orange County, California it is known as the home to legendary tourist attractions such as Disneyland, California Adventures, Knott’s Berry Farm, and a host of scenic beaches. Irvine Spectrum Center
Southern California is known for its sunny, open-air shopping centers, but our outdoor mall in the heart of Orange County is truly one of a kind. With a giant Ferris wheel, indie eateries, and novel shops this fountain-lined Spectrum Center, which reportedly took its aesthetic cues from the Alhambra palace in Spain, offers storefronts equipped for the Southern California lifestyle. With plenty of small, kitsch stores that sell things like upcycled jewelry, retro wall art, and indie restaurants, this outdoor mall has something for everyone.
Orange County Great Park
Formerly for a field for the US Military, the city of Irvine, California has transformed this once-barren landscape into a roughly 1,300-acre green space for the entire family. Though it is still a work in progress, there’s already plenty to see and do here. Soar up in the park’s tethered helium balloon where you can see up to 40 miles (64 kilometers) on a clear day. Ride a carousel adorned with illustrations inspired by vintage citrus crates that serve as a nod to the region’s agricultural heritage. On Sundays, mingle with locals at the certified farmers market, and visit artists’ workshops at the Palm Court Arts Complex.
