The City of Irvine
IRVINE, CALIFORNIA is one of Orange county’s most affluent cities. Developed in the 1960’s, Irvine is what is known as a “planned city” which means that it was designed and constructed almost entirely by the Irvine Company. The Irvine company’s current owner, Donald Bren, is considered the wealthiest real estate developer in the United States. As of 2016, Irvine became the largest city in the United States with a significant number of multiple Asian-American communities, making up around 45% of the city’s population.
